Beans in, grounds out
Whole beans go into the glass hopper on top; ground coffee collects in the detachable cup at the base, which doubles as your dosing vessel. Grind immediately before brewing — ground coffee starts losing aromatics within minutes, and that gap is the single biggest difference between a good cup and a flat one.

Pairing it with a portable espresso machine
Portable espresso machines have less pump headroom than a mains machine, so a grind that works at home can choke one. Start around setting 2–1 or coarser when feeding a portable machine, pull a shot, then work finer a click at a time until the flow slows to where you want it. If the machine labours or stalls, go coarser rather than tamping harder.
How big it actually is
At 690 g it is about the weight of a full water bottle. Slim enough to sit alongside a portable machine in the same bag, but it is a real burr grinder, not a novelty.

Travelling with it
This grinder has a built-in lithium battery. Airlines require lithium batteries to travel in carry-on baggage only — never in checked luggage — and the device must not be operated in flight. Rules vary by carrier and route, so check your airline before you fly. Some countries also restrict lithium batteries in post.
Care
Empty the hopper before storing it — beans left in a warm bag go stale and their oils gum up the burrs. Brush the burrs out dry; do not rinse them or put any part of the grinder in water or a dishwasher. If grinding slows noticeably, it is almost always oil build-up rather than a fault.
